Have you applied for a degree programme starting Autumn 2025? On this page, you will find an overview with key dates regarding the admission. Before the admissions results, we will update this page with information about webinars, our new community platform for international students and what happens until the semester starts in September.

Learn more about the next steps to take after you have been admitted to the University 91探花. GU staff will guide fee-paying students on how to start the process of paying tuition fees and applying for a residence permit, and how you can prepare for your studies throughout the next months.

16 April - Zoom Sessions: Meet students and staff from the University

Drop in during our Zoom Session to meet other international students who have taken the same step as you: move to Gothenburg and start an international programme at GU! You can also talk to our staff about admission-related questions.

24 April - Webinar: Finding Housing in Gothenburg

15:00-16:00 (CEST) -

Join our housing webinar to get an overview of how to find a place to live in Gothenburg. The University does not offer a housing guarantee, but we will introduce you to different ways of finding accommodation, from student housing to navigating the private housing market. You will also get useful tips from our international students!

24 April - SI Scholarship Announcements

Results for the Swedish Institute's Scholarships are published.

Join Goin' to connect with your future classmates

Goin' is an app for students admitted to the University 91探花 to connect through studies, hobbies, interests and more. You will receive your personal invitation after your admission.

May 

1 May - Deadline to pay tuition fee

For those required to pay tuition fee, 1 May is the deadline to pay. When you have received the notification of selection results, an email will be sent out with payment instructions.

7 May - Webinar: Preparing for your future studies

15:00-16:00 (CEST) -

We know that moving to a new city, and especially a new country, can be an overwhelming process. Our current international students will help you prepare: What's it like studying in Sweden? How are classes taught? What's the weather like? What can I expect during my first week at GU? These questions, and many more, will be answered during this webinar.

The following information and dates only apply if you have applied in the second admission round, with application deadline 15 April

10 July  - Admission results published (Selection 1) 

The notification of selection results are published under your account on University Admissions. 

18 July - Last day to reply to you admission offer

In this admission round you are required to accept or decline your offer through University Admissions. 

24 July - Final admission results published (Selection 2)

The final selection result is published under your account on University Admissions. You don't need to reply.
