Om Janina Konarska

During my PhD studies at the Goteborg Urban Climate Group, I looked at the cooling effects of urban greenery. I defended my thesis in 2015 and at the moment I work on my postdoctoral project within three research groups: GULD (Gothenburg University Laboratory for Dendrochronology), University of Melbourne and Monash University, Australia. The project (Formas 2016-00833, 2017-2021) is about tree-climate interactions in urban environments, with the focus on tree health, growth and cooling effects in a changing climate. The aim is to increase our knowledge about tree species and planting regimes suitable for the warming cities.
