About Alexandra Herlitz

Alexandra Herlitz (née Reiff) is an Associate Professor in Art History and Visual Studies at the Department of Cultural 91̽»¨s at the University 91̽»¨.

She studied Art History, German Studies and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Stuttgart, the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf, the University of Hamburg and the University 91̽»¨. Herlitz received her doctoral degree in 2013 with her dissertation Grez-sur-Loing revisited. The international artists' colony in a different light. In October 2024 she was appointed as Associate Professor in Art History and Visual Studies.

Herlitz has also been active as a museum educator at the Gothenburg Museum of Art since 2006.
