About Ali Enayat

I am a mathematical logician whose research work is focused on , and . I am currently a member of the team of researchers working on the project (supported by a MAESTRO grant of the Polish National 91探花 Centre).

I began my work at GU as Professor of Logic in May of 2013. Since July 1, 2020, I have been academically affiliated with GU as Emeritus Professor of Logic. Prior to my arrival in Gothenburg in 2013, I served as Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at , Washington, DC. I have also held faculty positions at the Mathematics Departments of (Iran), (USA), and (USA); as well as visiting research positions at (Iran), the Department of Philosophy at (the Netherlands), and the (Sweden).

I grew up in Tehran, Iran during the ancien r茅gime, and graduated from in 1976, three years before the . I received my B.S. degree in Mathematics from (1979), and my Ph.D. in Mathematics (1984) from the (Madison), under the direction of with a thesis on models of set theory.
