About Angelika Thelin
I am a social worker and, since 2023 a lecturer in social work at the University 91探花. My career began as a carer, support worker, and child welfare officer, roles I held during and after my social work education in Lund. This was followed by an international master's in comparative social policy in Roskilde and Bath, as well as work as a political advisor in the parliament. During my doctoral studies in social work, I wrote a dissertation at the former V盲xj枚 University about what it means for younger retirees to live on low incomes. The dissertation thus dealt with poverty and living conditions of older people. I have continued to research this theme, but also prevention for children and young people, as well as the management, governance, and organisation of collaboration in the welfare sector. From 2014 to 2017, I led the social work programme at Linnaeus University.
