About Anneli Larsson

I am a lecturer at the Department of Social Work, University 91探花. I earned my PhD in psychology with the thesis from the University 91探花 in 2005.

Since then, I have worked at various institutions including the Swedish Police, Cambridge University, UK; University of Bor氓s; Linnaeus University; National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, USA; and the Police University College in Solna. Among other things, I served as a child forensic interviewer and as a coordinator of multidisciplinary collaboration while employed at the Swedish police.

I was the project manager for the government assignment Evaluation of Barnahus in 2018-2019 and evaluated the process of implementing GVI (Group Violence Intervention) in Gothenburg from 2022 to 2023.

Research interests

My research falls within the field of violence and crime prevention, and early social interventions focusing on the narratives of vulnerable groups regarding violence, as well as the development and evaluation of effective interviewing techniques. I am particularly interested in how the multidisciplinary collaborative context of child interviews can strengthen the rights of especially vulnerable groups while promoting the missions of relevant professional groups.

Conducting research on the implementation and maintenance of socially relevant collaboration projects can thus be said to form the basis of my research and collaboration with our surrounding society.

Member of The International Investigative Interviewing Research Group, The Nordic Association for Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect, The International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and The PROMISE Barnahus network.

Teaching and supervision

I teach at both undergraduate and advanced levels at the University 91探花.

Utilization of research

I am committed to collaboration and knowledge exchange between practice and the scientific community. Engage in court appearances and media involvement when it is imperative.
