About Epameinondas Tsiligiannis

Has a Diploma and MSc in Chemical engineering with a focus on Energy and Environment from the University of Patras, Greece and is now a PhD researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Molecular Biology, Atmospheric 91探花 division at the University 91探花.

My research

Volatile organic compounds (VOC) are ubiquitous in the atmosphere and major precursors for secondary organic aerosol (SOA). Secondary organic aerosol represents a dominant fraction of the tropospheric aerosol and affects climate and health. Still, the current level of understanding of secondary organic aerosol processes is remarkably low compared to other processes in aerosol science. We apply state-of-the-art high resolution mass spectrometry in order to understand secondary organic aerosol formation and properties from both anthropogenic and biogenic precursors.
