About Fredrik Lindberg

Research interests

Processes influencing the local climate in urban areas. Connection between the urban climate and human health and well-being, focusing on vulnerable groups (e.g. old adults and children). The use of geographical information-system (GIS) within urban climatology and other (physical) geographical research.

Examples of research activities:

  • Development of user-friendly tools for climate sensitive planning applications ()
  • Spatial variations of potential solar energy production on roof structures in urban areas
  • The use of LiDAR technology within urban climate research
  • The influence of warm weather and outdoor - environment design on preschoolers physical activities and thermal comfort (link)

Leader of (in collaboration with Sofia Thorsson) the ³Òö³Ù±ð²ú´Ç°ù²µ Urban Climate Group at Gothenburg University.
