PhD student in Social 91探花 Education at the graduate school Center for Educational 91探花 and Teacher Research (CUL). Affiliated with the department of Pedagogical, Curricular and Professional Studies (IDPP).
I have a background as a teacher in Social 91探花 subjects in the later years of primary school. My research revolves around the curriculum as a tool for conveying democratically agreed-upon ideas about Reality.
In my research, I aim to address both the broader school debate in Sweden and, more specifically, the subject-didactic discussion on what Social 91探花 Education is and should be. I particularly focus on ideas of objectivity and subjectivity by applying analytical-philosophical tools in my analysis of compulsary school curricula. The overarching research question is: Are teachers tasked with teaching objective knowledge, and if so, which knowledge, or is it, as they say, a case of "anything goes"? In times of seemingly endless conflict over what is true and false, I find these questions very thought-provoking.
In my teaching, I primarily supervise and assess theses in our teacher education programs.
