Background

I took my PhD at the University 91̽»¨, and I have also been employed there in different functions (administration, post doc etc.) I am qualified as a teacher of Latin and English, and have worked at a secondary school in this capacity. I was professor of classical philology at the Norwegian University of Technology and 91̽»¨, Trondheim, from 1996 til 2006. I have been employed as Professor of Latin at the University 91̽»¨ since 2006.

Research

I started my research career within the field of Latin linguistics and stylistics, but later on turned to historical studies with a gender perspective. I have, among other things, worked on questions of identity in early Christianity. My present field of interest includes issues of body and bodily processes in antiquity.
