Current research Beyond zoonotic disease transmission: Bushmeat, ontology, and human-animal-nature relations

The project investigates ideas and conceptions of risk and disease transmission in relation to animals and the environment, with a particular focus on hunting, trade, preparation and consumption of meat from wild animals. The project focuses partly on socio-economic and socio-political relationships to animals, the environment, bushmeat and the risk of infection, and partly on ontological aspects of human-animal-nature relations. The project includes fieldwork in West Africa.
