About Lisa Ã…kervall

Lisa Ã…kervall is Associate Professor of Film Studies at the Department of Cultural 91̽»¨s at the University 91̽»¨. Her recent research focuses on cinematic affect, digital and social media, postcinematic aesthetics, digital sound studies, and the cultural techniques of neoliberalism. She is author of Kinematographische Affekte: Die Transformation der Kinoerfahrung, Fink Verlag 2018 and co-editor of Waking Life: Kino zwischen Technik und Leben, b_books 2016. She is currently writing a monograph on the relationship among aesthetics, subjectivity and neoliberal politics in digital media cultures.
