About Matteo Tomasini
My specialty is the development and deployment of agent-based simulations, as well as the development of computational and mathematical models. At the Gothenburg Research Infrastructure in Digital Humanities, I am primarily involved in the Maritime Encounters project, where I simulate maritime trajectories of seafarers during the Bronze Age. I am also involved in the frontend and backend development for some of our platforms. Additionally, I collaborate within InfraVis, the national research infrastructure for data visualization.
In addition to my professional work, I am chair of the board of Nordic RSE, an association promoting the careers of research software engineers.
