About Omid Oudbashi

I am conservation and archaeological scientist, and conservator of archaeological and historical artefacts. I hold BSc, MA and PhD in Conservation of Cultural and Historical Properties from Art University of Isfahan and now, I am fellow of International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (FIIC). I usually use different analytical and investigation methods such as microscopic and chemical analysis methods and also taught different courses in academic conservation and archaeometry programs (for about 15 years).

My research interests are:

corrosion/conservation of ancient metals; deterioration/conservation of stone artefacts and monuments; archaeometallurgy and ancient mining; production of inorganic materials in the ancient time (glass, pigment, gemstone, etc.)
