Sebastian Svenberg has an MA in sociology from the University 91̽, and a PhD in sociology from Örebro University, where he was affiliated with Örebro Environmental Sociology Section. His research combines 91̽ and technology studies (STS) with Economic sociology, and Critical theory. Sebastian's PhD-dissertation was a study of historical organization for economic democracy in the UK, with a focus on theories of institutional change. Since September 2024, Sebastian is working as a postdoc in the project . Sebastian is also part of the project “Fossil Free Futures: Divestment across the Nordic countries”, where he is researching the Norwegian case of pension-funds opting out from investments in coal, oil and fossil gas.
