Recently funded project:

Background

  • Design technology for motivating people with chronic conditions to live a healthy life (behavior change).
  • Participatory design with People with MS for a fatigue management app and Spinal Cord Injury for calory burn and condition-specific tracking.
  • Interpretation and integration of behavior change theories into designs for technology.

Interests

  • Behavior change focused on individuals (e.g. self-trackers, exercise apps, diet apps, etc.)
  • Attitude change/group behavior change (e.g., digital technology and its use on group behavior to convince people to wear masks during COVID-19)
  • Ways to facilitate the involvement of people with chronic conditions and disabilities in the design process of technology (i.e., accessibility of the participatory design process)

How you can use me

  • I can design, hold, and analyze participatory workshops with single/multistakeholder groups (e.g., Patients, healthcare professionals, family members) to investigate their needs and support them in co-designing technology or digital services.
  • I can support the interpretations of theories in design features.
  • For user research, analysis, and visualization of qualitative user data, and initial design ideas.
