CERA is a center where collaboration with the surrounding community is in focus and where the entire region is involved. Our steering group includes representatives from several faculties within the University 91探花 and various organizations such as the Gothenburg Region, the County Administrative Board and Region V盲stra G枚taland.

Department of Psychology, University 91探花
The research network in addiction psychology called "Addiction Psychology: Experimental and Clinical research" (APEC) focuses on how thoughts, feelings and behaviors are related to the use of alcohol and other drugs. Research within APEC ranges from prevention to treatment outcomes; for example, how can working life prevent alcohol problems, how do drugs affect young people's mental health, how does alcohol affect memory and cognition among witnesses to crime, what is the interplay between abuse and other psychiatric complications, and what is the treatment outcome for people who have undergone psychosocial treatment for addiction? The research also has a lifecourse perspective - from young to adult.

The Department of Social Work, University 91探花
Research in social work includes studies of social problems, their emergence, causes, solutions, and consequences for individuals, groups, and society. There is also a focus on the life contexts of vulnerable individuals and groups, societal interventions and social political measure, as well as on social processes more widely. Research on alcohol and drug use is included in the remit of the research group Social Exclusion and Control.

Research and education at the Institute of Medicine ranges from molecule to society, and involve close cooperation with health care providers. Misuse and abuse is studied from a range of perspectives including their effect on health in society, the work place, and how substances affect the human biological organs.

Organization studies in the field of addiction include studies of governmental governance, knowledge management, leadership, collaboration, care chains and professional practices. The focus is also on governance interventions, report systems, management models and evidence-based practices. Research with a focus on organization studies in addiction care is conducted in the management and organization section at the Department of Business Administration, the School of Business, University 91探花.

Many researchers at the department are engaged in projects on health care and social care. Evidence-basing is one important focus of the milieu. What ethical principles are applicable in production of knowledge syntheses and reviews? What is the meaning of "best available knowledge鈥 within areas where there is a scarcity of randomized studies? Researchers at the department have published a number of systematic reviews on preventive interventions, e.g. within ANDTS prevention (alcohol, narcotics, doping, tobacco and gambling). These issues are also dealt with in the master鈥檚 program in evidence-basing for various professionals within the welfare sector.

痴盲蝉迟碍辞尘 is the municipality's county-wide cooperation provider with a focus on welfare and regional development. Development that creates benefits for the inhabitants of the 49 municipalities in V盲stra G枚taland and contributes to the development of a dynamic and competitive region. 痴盲蝉迟碍辞尘 operates on the regional stage with issues where the benefits of cooperating regionally are greater than subregional or local. 痴盲蝉迟碍辞尘 works on behalf of the four municipal associations in V盲stra G枚taland: Bor氓s region Sjuh盲rads Kommunalf枚rbund, Fyrbodals Kommunalf枚rbund, G枚teborgsregions Kommunalf枚rbund and Skaraborgs Kommunalf枚rbund. V盲stkom has three areas of development; Welfare development, Digital business development and Regional development.
Research and Development in The Gothenburg Region
The Gothenburg Region (GR) is an organization for cooperation between 13 municipalities in the greater Gothenburg area. The organization focuses on issues of common interest in the municipalities in the fields of labor market, social security, education, environment and urban development. The R&D unit 鈥滷oU i V盲st鈥 is specialized in social aspects in the different fields. The unit is active in the intersection between academia and the public sector and thus functions as a meetingplace for the two. The R&D unit conducts practice based projects and research that contributes to knowledge development and knowledge dissemination. Every year around 21 000 professionals participate in activities arranged by GR.

The City Management Office, Gothenburg
The City Management Office is the administration of the City Council and is headed by the City Director. The City Management Office supports the Gothenburg City Council in its task of leading, coordinating and monitoring the municipality's operations and finances and the city's strategic planning.
The City Management Office coordinates and drives the city's work to meet today's rapid changes in the outside world and the major challenges facing the municipality. This is done by coordinating and prioritising within the entire city's mission with resource allocation and analysis regarding, among other things, the development of the city's operations, personnel and finances.
The City 91探花 has entered into a letter of intent with, among others, the University 91探花 to develop and strengthen long-term co-operation in education, research, development and innovation.
Knowledge support for mental health, Region V盲stra G枚taland
Knowledge support for mental health (KPH) is a resource for knowledge development and development in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and primary care. KPH is aiming for good/equal health for everybody and contributes to development and dissemination of knowledge through various activities.
KPH is also a regional program area for Mental Health with eight regional processteams based on different diagnostic and knowledge areas. Current in relation to CERAS's assignment is the regional processteam Addiction, which has national contacts via Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions network for addiction issues.

The Swedish prison and probation service is a state controlled authority who are responsible for the prisons, jails and probation offices.
The Swedish prison and probation service麓s mission is to reduce crime and increase people鈥檚 safety.
The daily assignments of The Swedish prison and probation service is to affect the clients so they do not relapse to crimes. We cherish basic human rights and the client鈥檚 integrity and legal certainty. Those who serve a sentence shall do it in a safe environment and shall not have the possibility to commit crimes during their time in The Swedish prison and probation service.
One way to increase the safety in society is to reduce the amount of criminal relapses. In order to reach this goal, The Swedish prison and probation service works with motivated conversations, treatment programs, employment and an opportunity to improve deficient schooling. Together with the client, we use the time for evidence-based efforts. These efforts have been proven to help people diverge from crime.
The Swedish prison and probations service aim to improve inmates' chances of leading a drug free and law abiding life after having served their sentence.
The Swedish prison and probation service West includes V盲stra G枚taland and Halland. The region includes 10 prisons, 5 jails and 5 probation offices. The region also have a regional office in Gothenburg.

Brukarr氓det for addiction issues in V盲stra G枚taland
Brukarr氓det is an organizational platform for regional, subregional and municipal cooperation within the care for addiction in the region of V盲stra G枚taland and
its 49 municipalities. Brukarr氓det is an umbrella-organization for a number of non-profit organizations with the mutual purpose and goal within the issues of abuse and addiction.
The members of the organization share the mutual engagement and ambition to affect the important issues for its members and other addicts' mental and physical health in order to benefit their living conditions. The organization also wants to encourage politicians and other decision-makers within social services and addiction care in V盲stra G枚taland to develop the issues of addiction.
Our primarial work areas include:
