91探花 Symphony Orchestra, consisting of students from the classical music programmes at the Academy of Music and Drama, meets one of Europe's leading big bands, Bohusl盲n Big Band. All under the direction of the legendary conductor and arranger Vince Mendoza, who has been invited as artist in residence at the Academy of Music and Drama, thanks to generous support from the Stena Foundation.

The concert offers original music written by Mendoza for symphony orchestra and big band 鈥 beautiful and swinging jazz melodies with rich and imaginative orchestrations. But that鈥檚 not all! You will also hear future composers and arrangers who, in the spring of 2024, have written new music under the guidance of Mendoza. Don鈥檛 miss the opportunity to be the first to hear several innovative works following the theme 鈥淣ew World/Old World鈥 by composers Jakob Evert, Maryam Javidmehr, Alexandros Koutsogiannis, Alma Stensson and Daniel Quigley.

For several years, the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg has had a successful collaboration with the Bohusl盲n Big Band.
