Sofia Dmitrieva is a first-year PhD student in Ancient Greek at the Department of Languages and Literatures. Her dissertation focuses on verbal grammar in Ancient Greek, and in this seminar she will present a pilot study investigating the uses of presential participles. The study focuses on exploring the semantic range and distribution of participles, with particular attention to the type of affix. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about  the semantics of present stems in Ancient Greek, and to provide Sofia with valuable input on her choice of method and theory.
