About Lena Wallin

Lena Wallin is a specialist physician in child and adolescent psychiatry and a doctoral student at the Gillberg Centre. She has clinical experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, with a particular interest in OCD as well as bipolar and psychotic disorders in children and young people. From 2012 to 2022, she worked clinically in child and adolescent psychiatry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital, with a brief period in Region Halland. Since 2022, Lena has been clinically active at the psychiatric clinic for intellectual disabilities and the psychiatric consultation team for the deaf and hard of hearing within the neuropsychiatric clinic at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

Research interests

In her doctoral research, Lena investigates long-term health outcomes in individuals with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. Her research areas and interests include OCD in children and adolescents, as well as developmental conditions and psychiatric comorbidities, with a focus on the life situation and daily functioning of these groups.
