About us
Mathematical 91̽»¨s is one of the largest mathematics departments in the Nordic countries with about 200 teachers/researchers and doctoral students. The department is organised into three scientific divisions and a division for support functions, and is integrated within the University 91̽»¨ and Chalmers University of Technology.
The department has a strong international character with employees from around 30 countries as well as many guests and collaborations, both national and international, within pure mathematics and interdisciplinary. Research takes place in several mathematical areas, see more on the page Our research.
Education takes place both at Chalmers University of Technology and at the University 91̽»¨, both through mathematics courses within other programmes and through dedicated mathematics programmes. Courses are often taken together by students at both universities. See more on the page Study here.
