In Memory of Gunnar Fransson
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness we announce the passing of our dear colleague Gunnar Fransson
Special Education Teacher Gunnar Fransson passed away on the 25th of March 2025. For many years, he was a highly valued colleague in clinical research at the Gillberg Neuropsychiatry Centre and the Child Neuropsychiatry Clinic (CNC).
With great energy and enthusiasm, Gunnar developed valuable educational assessments in neuropsychiatric team evaluations over the years. He also contributed to several major and significant research studies, including studies on the effects of Omega-3 supplements for children with ADHD, Omega-3 for children's reading ability, and a study on a problem-solving training method for children with neuropsychiatric conditions (ESSENCE) and their parents. This method is known as Problem Resolution in ESSENCE (PR-ESSENCE).
Even in recent years, Gunnar continued his research with tireless dedication and is deeply missed.
