The project aims to explore how Swedish climate policy makers understand social differences and how a more inclusive climate policy can be achieved.
鈥淪trategies for reaching, for example, the goal of a fossil-free welfare state cannot only focus on technology developments 鈥 there is also a need for an understanding of how strategies can improve by considering the social dimensions of climate change,鈥 said Annica Kronsell.
鈥淎chieving this goal demands considerable action and collaboration among national and local institutions, which need to be coordinated with efforts to achieve other SDGs, for positive synergies to arise and to avoid conflicting objectives. Combating poverty, increased equality, and achieving peace and justice are examples of SDGs that relate to climate change and will be addressed in this project,鈥 said Annica Kronsell.
Med i projektet 盲r 盲ven Gunnhildur Magnusdottir, docent vid Malm枚 universitet, Benedict Singleton postdoktor och Nanna Rask doktorand. Projektet kommer p氓g氓 under fyra 氓r, fr氓n december 2018 till 2022.
Gunnhildur Magnusdottir, associate professor at Malm枚 University, Benedict Singleton, post-doctor, and Nanna Rask, PhD Student, at the School of Global Studies will also work in the project. The project will run for a period of four years starting in December 2018.
