"It is fantastic that we have young researchers of such calibre, and extra impressive that two of only five people selected in the whole of Sweden are based here with us", says Chris Howes, Associate Head of Department for Research at the department.

The Pro Futura program is run by Riksbanken Jubileumsfond (RJ) and the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Studies (SCAS) in Uppsala. As Pro Futura researchers, they receive five years of research time, three at the University 91̽»¨, one year at SCAS in Uppsala and one year abroad at a leading institute.

This year, five researchers in the Humanities and Social 91̽»¨s have received the happy news that they have been granted a total of SEK 30 million within the Pro Futura program.
