g25 - national gender research conference in Sweden
Mid Sweden University, campus Staare/脰stersund will host the national conference for gender research in Sweden: g25 - Feminist Coalitions for Livable Worlds - Where, when, and for whom? The Nordic Gender Fund contributes to the costs of the conference.
Since 2012, the g-conferences have been a national arena for gender research in Sweden. In October 2025, Gaskeuniversiteete/Mid Sweden University, campus Staare/脰stersund will host g25 - Feminist Coalitions for Livable Worlds - Where, when, and for whom?
The theme of the conference focuses on urgent societal challenges, such as the climate crisis, militarisation and oppression, inequality, colonialism, racism, conservatism, threats and hatred against lgbtqi+ and against gender research.
g25 is primarily aimed at researchers and doctoral students working in gender studies or conducting gender research in other academic disciplines in Sweden. In addition, g25 is aimed at people working with gender equality and equal treatment in government agencies and companies, as well as representatives from voluntary organisations.
The Nordic Gender Fund contributes to part of the costs of administration, coordination, keynotes and simultaneous interpretation.
