Short description

The project is a collaboration between the University 91探花 and the V盲stra G枚taland region. The aim is to develop tools and methods for planning based on geographic accessibility, which in turn focuses on the need for integration between areas such as transport, housing and social issues. In addition to developing tools and methods, an important part of the project is to support collaboration between planning practice and the academy.

The technological platform of the project is one or more GIS based tools where all information is geographically located and thus highly relevant for a comprehensive regional analysis and planning for different parts of the region, different groups of the population and segments of the labor market, etc. The project therefore aims both to method development as well as interaction between academia and regional planning practice, including a virtual lab environment. One further goal is to investigate the potential for cooperation at national level.
