Short description

This project explores the consequences for hunters and farmers who lives and works in the presence of large carnivores. More specifically, this project explores what are the consequences in terms of socioeconomic and psychosocial impacts. The project employs quantitative and qualitative methods in the interrogation of the views, experiences and perspectives of farmers, hunters and wildlife management staff. Geographically, the project focus on three Swedish counties where large carnivores have been present for an extended period of time and where large carnivore attacks on livestock and hunting dogs are occurring. The study contributes with important knowledge regarding the management of large carnivores at national, regional and local levels.
