Ethics, Theology, and Society
About
What are right and wrong, good and evil? What is it that has, historically, shaped our conceptions? How are individuals and societies formed morally, and how can we develop arguments regarding ethical questions?
In this course, we will consider how leading thinkers in the Christian theological tradition address questions of this kind. The course focuses on central ethical works and discusses topics like the Bible and ethics, virtue and human flourishing, and the possibilities for a universal human ethic.
