För DIG som är intresserad av hur det mänskliga samhället är kopplat till den marina miljön och ekosystemet, hur detta förhållande har förändrats under historien och fram till idag, och hur det kan förändras i framtiden.
Om utbildningen
The aim of this course is to put into a broad context the human "uses" of the sea through time including emotional and philosophical uses. The course will treat main conflicts and problems associated with historical and current uses, and describe and discuss basic issues like the tragedy of the commons and problems related to collective actions and various governance systems. The course will cover different perspectives, such as, western and non-western, global and local, industrial and artisan.
Form of teaching: Lectures, exercises, discussions, and individual and group reports.
The course may be taken as an elective course within a wide range of master programs at the Faculty of 91̽»¨, Faculty of Law and Economy, Faculty of Social 91̽»¨.

Godkända universitets/högskolestudier om 180 hp motsvarande en kandidatexamen. Dessutom krävs engelska 6/engelska B eller motsvarande resultat på ett erkänt internationellt test såsom TOEFL eller IELTS, alternativt kandidatexamen från ett engelskspråkigt universitet.
