Ocean and Sustainable Development
Research, education and collaboration for a sustainable development are important parts of the University 91̽»¨'s vision. In that work, the UN's global sustainability goals are central, in particular goal 14, which aims to conserve and use the oceans, seas and marine resources in a sustainable way.
2021 marks the beginning of the UN's decade for marine research and sustainable development. The increased interest in international and European policy for the sea as a resource to achieve the global sustainability goals, and the need for healthy seas, place great demands on the scientific community to be able to deliver knowledge and competence.
