Short description

Sick leave and staff turnover are current problems in health care and elder care organizations. The projects study how organizational requirements and resources interact with work commitment, work-related health, staff turnover and shorter and longer sick leave as well as return to work in health care and elder care organizations. In addition to explanations, methodological aspects are critically examined and improved. Data from cohorts, interviews and register-based data are analyzed. Results from our ongoing and completed sub-studies show the importance of organizational support structures, supportive management and change work.
