About Aron Westholm

Aron Westholm is an associate senior lecturer in environmental law. His research primarily concerns the relation between administrative systems and the natural environment. Since attaining his LL.M. in 2013, he has worked as a legal practitioner in both the public and private sector, mostly within the field of environmental law.

In June 2021 he defended his doctoral thesis "Scaling Marine and Water Management"

Aron is one of the hosts of the podcast "Miljön och juridiken"

Ongoing research projects

Energy transition in Sweden - Planning for wind power development

The project examines the spatial planning tools available to the central government and municipalities, and how these tools are used and interact in the deployment of new wind power. The project is funded by the Adlerbert Research Foundation.
