Areas of interest

My research is mainly focused on various aspects of environmental politics.

• Public Opinion: Explanations to people’s environmental behaviour, attitudes and acceptance of policy measures.

• Political Theory: The relationship between democracy and sustainable development, issues related to environmental and climate justice.

• International Politics: Mainly climate politics, but also ocean acidification and fishery.

• Institutional Theory: e.g., natural resource management and corruption.

• Corruption and Wildlife Management: The Logics of Collective Action in Transnationally Protected Reserves, Funded by the Swedish Research Council.

• Citizens’ support for environmental policy measures in a comparative perspective. Funded by the Swedish Research Council.

Teaching and tutoring

Currently supervising 5 PhD students in Gothenburg and LuleĂĄ, teaching environmental politics, collective action-theory, institutional theory and research design.
